Much More Than a Personal Training

Birth of Train & Nourish

Jenna F
Jenna-sign

As a Philly personal trainer, I noticed my clients often felt “gymtimidation” (being intimidated by weights and working out in front of others.)

I also realized most women relied almost solely upon cardio machines, fearing strength training would make them bulky, leaving them bored and without results.

So I created Train & Nourish, a private, women-only studio where women could embrace weight training, gain strength, sculpt their bodies, and build confidence in a supportive, empowering space.

Start where you are and thrive on your fitness journey.

Group Fitness Class FAQs

It’s my first time visiting, should I come early?

Yes! Our coaches will be there waiting to meet you and get you ready for class. They will walk you through the format of class so you are ready to go. We just ask that you show up 10 minutes early so our coach can learn about you and so you can sign our waiver form.

How long are the classes, and what can I expect in terms of format?

Our strength training classes typically last 60 minutes. The format may vary, but you can expect a combination of strength exercises targeting different muscle groups, interspersed with brief periods of rest or active recovery.

What should I wear to class?

We recommend wearing comfortable workout attire such as leggings or shorts. Proper athletic shoes with good support are also essential. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must cancel a group class more than 12 hours before the class begins or your credit card attached to your Mindbody account will be charged in full for that class. If you have a group class package it will be taken from your balance. If you are a 4/month or an 8/month member, the class will be taken from your balance for that month.

You will not be charged if a class is canceled with more than 12 hours notice.

Unlimited group class members will be charged $8 for a no show or late cancellation fee at the end of a full calendar month. One late cancellation will be waived per month.

Please use our booking system or contact us if you need to cancel or reschedule your class.

Train and Nourish does not have the ability to give refunds through third party class reservation systems. If you feel like you were charged incorrectly for a late cancellation through a third party other than MindBody please contact their support.

In the event that an instructor is not able to instruct a class given personal or health reasons, the instructor will make every attempt to find another coach to serve as a substitute for that class. There may be times when you attend a class with a substitute coach. If an instructor is not able to find a substitute, the class will be canceled.
